Money Making WebsitesThere are 2 main types of money making sites; either a purely sales site of either your own product or an affiliate product, OR a content site with well targeted advertising.For beginners a content site is probably easiest while experienced marketers might choose a sales site with a high commission product. Either way, think small. Pick a 'niche'. You don't want a site about everything. Do ONE thing and do it well. If and when you want to branch out, you can then create a new site on the new topic. In the long run, this will help bring you very targeted traffic and better conversion rates. Website Search Engine OptimizationWebsite search engine optimization is a big part of getting lots of targeted, free traffic. Make sure to plan ahead when writing site copy and do your keyword research.Starting A WebsiteFirst, you may want a template, or you will need to design the site yourself. Keep it small in size so it will load quickly. You don't need fancy scripts, loads of graphics, or clutter. You don't even need it to be 'pretty', an ugly site will make sales if it has what your audience is looking for. DO make sure to have an easy to find and understand navigation system.Next, you'll need an HTML Editor, an FTP program, and perhaps a good Graphics Editor.
