This article is geared toward those who have some HTML knowledge, and are looking to build a large site based on all types of programs including Get Paid To's, MLM, Affiliate Programs, and other income sources such as Google AdSense.

Planning Your Online Business
It is important that you spend time deciding not only WHAT you want to make a site about, but how best to do so. No matter what stage you are at with your website, you are reading this article, so I must assume you are looking for a little help.

I've read the eBook, now what?
If you've read the recommended ebook, you should have a lot of keyword research to do! Get to work. The biggest reason people don't get further with their online business is that they 'give up', or just don't get down to work. Treat it like a business and spend time at it everyday. Set a schedule and let people know those are your work hours. If you need to do a few things, do them before sitting down to work so you will not be distracted.

Tweaking Your Content
Many people will tell you, watch your results for your pages and tweak until you get the best results. Well, I do recommend watching your results carefully, but don't tweak if you don't have to. Why on earth not?? Because it gives you a perfect excuse to ADD more content instead using your 'tweaked' version of the page. Also, different personality types will see things differently. You can't please all the people all the time, but as long as it's within your writing style, it can't hurt to leave two versions up.

Not only does this leave the original page intact for the search engines, it gives you new and easy to build content for your site, attracting MORE search engine visitors.

Keyword Research

A couple points not mentioned in the ebook, and the real important bits that you may want to consider:

Just because people searched for it last month, doesn't mean they will this month.

20 obscure keywords MAY be better than one big one.

You are always better off writing for your visitors than for search engines. Don't leave the engines out, but remember, the engines are not buyers and don't expect anything upon arrival to your site.

Everyone and their dog is moving into affiliate marketing. It is HOT right now. If you can, try to think up something new in your presentation, and ALWAYS pay attention to trends for new page ideas.

Don't build and wait. Build, and keep building. Constantly. Carry a notebook with you and jot down ideas -- you will forget! Watch the forums for what questions get asked often. What does your grandma ask about it when you mention making money online? My apologies to the internet savvy grandmas....I know you're out there! LOL:)

Pay attention to your search logs. If your site is about 'blue' and people are finding you with 'blue green', make a page about 'blue green'.

Don't stop researching. Put aside time regularly to read marketing articles/ ebooks/forums to find new ideas and follow new trends.

When writing each page keep in mind not only your keywords, but also what it is you want to sell with each page.

And...since I forget my original point -- SEE?!? Use a notebook!!! ****-- NEVER spend more than you can afford to lose. Invest time, the money will come.

Just FYI...I do use a notebook, I use several - in fact too many, LOL. Sometimes, the ideas come to quickly for writing! :)
Word to the wise -- try to stay organised! LOL. What I try to keep up on is using the little notepads with 3 or 4 different color papers in sections. Pink is things to do, blue is designs, etc. You might want to try it.:) If you are like me and thinking of ten things at once you can't possibly write down quick enough, you might want to try one of the little personal tape recorders.
